M+M's Founders are MA & EJ Henningham, a dynamic mother/daughter duo who have been happily working together since 1998.
Having worked with both straight and gay men for years via Club 1942, they decided 2023 would be the year to finally make it official and launch a sister company exclusively for gay men.

The grande dame
of matchmaking
The reason I became a Matchmaker? I was inspired by my beloved grandmother - a woman of substance, and one of the kindest people you could ever hope to meet.
Though she never turned professional, she used her seating arrangements and gentle influence to great effect; the results of which were often firm friendships and long, happy marriages / partnerships.
I believe i've inherited her ability to truly listen, put clients at ease, and trust my intuition - especially as i’m also dyslexic. Feelings of inadequacy in the classroom fuelled a lifelong determination to be the best in whatever I put my mind to.
I’m proud to have become a sought-after matchmaker and look forward to meeting you soon!

Though I studied Auctioneering & Valuation, worked in Sotheby’s Fine Art department and was a Founding Director of a financial services company, matchmaking is in my DNA.
As a 2nd/3rd generation professional Matchmaker, I have an innate ability to evaluate and read people - ideal for when i’m headhunting potential matches.
Not only do I love what I do, but I also have the privilege of working with my Mama (and Millie, her eccentric mini dachshund). Our strong bond is built on trust and mutual respect - something which is reflected in our partnerships with clients.

BEHIND OUR NAME
We are a quintessentially Anglo-Australian brand, but our name was inspired by the Italianate names of two beloved dogs.
The very first gay couple we successfully matched, moved in together and immediately adopted two puppies: Maximilian and Manfredi.
We actually couldn’t think of a better name for our company than the dogs who launched such a beautiful family adventure!
Which has long since grown to include twin boys!
